The story of Sultan, the character played by Bollywood star Salman Khan in his new movie, is set in Haryana's Rewari, a small town close to the national capital region (NCR). Due to its proximity to the NCR, Rewari has seen a lot of construction activity in the past decade. Many portions of the Khan-starrer film, which earned a whopping Rs 40 crore on the opening day, were also shot in Punjab's Ludhiana, a city famous for its textile industry.
