#RealtyNewsRoundup: Housing Loans Grew 14% Y-O-Y In Q3’FY19, Says Report
Housing loans in the third quarter of the financial year 2019 witnessed a moderate growth of 14 per cent year-on-year and 3.5 per cent growth quarter-on-quarter, says a report by India Ratings and Research. According to the report, a total of six large housing finance companies disbursed an average of Rs 25,000 crore per month in the four quarters ended September 2018.
Real estate players, developing malls, hotels and office spaces, have moved the Delhi High Court (HC) after they were denied input tax credit under the Goods and Services Tax (GST). The plea filed with HC challenged the changes brought in the GST framework this year, due to which input tax credit was denied to these players developers.
The Department of Town and Country Planning of Gurugram has cancelled the occupational certificates of nearly 38 properties in the city over violation of building norms. These properties that were running commercial operations in residential structures are located at DLF areas and Sushant Lok 1.
The rail board has given approval to the commercial run of the Kolkata Metro’s East-West corridor. The 5.5-km route that will run between Sector V and Salt Lake Stadium is likely to become operational soon after all the safety tests are completed.
