The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority has started examining property rates ahead of possibly revising them. The authority held a preliminary meeting following the directions of the area's new chairperson last week. The meeting was held to discuss whether land rates in Greater Noida could be revised.

Giving a major thrust to the affordable housing segment, the Tamil Nadu government has accorded higher floor space index (FSI), ranging from 15 to 50 per cent for apartment projects catering to the economically weaker sections, the low-income group and the middle-income group families. According to an order issued by the housing and urban development department, apartment projects with unit size not exceeding 430.4 square foot can construct 50 per cent additional FSI.

The government has approved the construction of over a lakh more affordable homes under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) with an investment of Rs 4,200 crore. Under the scheme, 57,131 homes will be built in Madhya Pradesh, 24,576 homes in Tamil Nadu, 6,231 in Manipur, 4,898 units in Chhattisgarh, 4,261 houses in Gujarat, 2,389 units in Assam, 643 units in Kerala, 331 houses in Jharkhand and 77 units in Daman & Diu.

Real estate developer Emaar India has received the occupancy certificate for its IT Park Complex Digital Greens situated at Sector 61, Gurgaon. The project is spread across 6.8 acres, with a total built-up area of approximately 1.25 million sq ft.
