#RealtyNewsRoundUp: UP Govt Issues Land Acquisition Notification For Jewar Airport

Clearing the decks for the construction of an airport in Greater Noida's Jewar, the Uttar Pradesh government issued a notification for the acquisition of land for the project on October 30. For the first phase of the airport, 1,334 hectare land is required, of which 1,239 hectare land belonging to farmers from six villages will be acquired by the state government.

The Noida Authority has decided to impose penalty on builders if the delay the execution of registry of flats in group housing projects which are legally ready for possession. If the sub-lease deed or registry is executed after 15 months of issuance of occupancy certificate, the builder have to pay Rs 50 per day as penalty for a 100 square-meter (sqmt) flat and Rs 100 per day for a house measuring over 100 sqmt.

The Trilokpuri Sanjay Lake-Shiv Vihar Metro section of Delhi Metro's Pink Line has been flagged off by Housing Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. Passenger services on this section will start from 2 pm onwards on October 31.

State-owned Punjab National Bank has hiked its marginal cost of funds-based lending rate by five basis points across tenors from November 1. The move will make retail loans costlier for customers. Now, one-month and overnight tenor loans will be priced at 8.15 per cent each.
