The total number of homebuyers' complaints filed with the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) has now risen to 55.  These complaints are pertaining to issues such as delay in delivery, developers refusing to sign agreement with buyers, etc.

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) would hand over possession of 2,970 flats in its affordable group housing plan located at Sector 22D. The authority has built a total of 5,100 flats for middle-and-low income groups. These residential flats have also received a green certification from the Indian Green Building Council.

The National Green Tribunal has given a clean chit to as many as 10 out of 13 projects built near the river Yamuna. With this, the ban on sale and purchase of flats in these projects will be lifted. However, these projects will have to comply with the environmental norms.

Promoters of real estate company Omaxe will take a 90 per cent cut in their salaries and also forego their share of the dividend to quicken project deliveries. The company aims to preserve around Rs 15 crore annually through this move. The decision by the promoters has been taken keeping in the mind the challenges the real estate industry is facing.
