Upcoming Industrial Parks In Telangana To Have Housing Facilities
Telangana will soon have 10 new industrial parks with a high employee head-count. To provide housing to these employees, including shop floor workers and mid-level executives, the plans are to provide residential facilities within these industrial parks.
This move would resolve issues related to the time taken to reach office and would provide the ease of walk-to-work. The move is important given that Telangana has for long been planning to shift all manufacturing units outside the city and relocate beyond the Outer Ring Road (ORR). This would mean that many city-dwelling employees would take a lot of time to travel to work. Medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) especially would be required to earmark some land for townships that can make dormitories available for their workers.
The co-location plan will be first implemented in the Green Industrial Park based in Dandumalkapur. The park will be spread in an area 340 acre with 335 plots. About 10 new parks that are being developed will follow to the suit.
Mega-industrial parks such as Hyderabad Pharmacity at Mucherla in Ranga Reddy District, Mega Textile Park at Warangal, Zaheerabad National Investment Manufacturing Zone in Sanga Reddy District, Medical Devices Park at Sultanpur in Sangareddy District, Electronic Manufacturing Clusters at Maheswaram Mandal In Ranga Reddy District, Mega Food Park at Buggapadu in Khammam District, Spice Park at Velour in Nizamabad District, Seed Park in Bandamylaram in Siddipet District, Autonagars in Miryalaguda in Nalgonda District and Kundanpally Ramagundam in Peddapally District, Plastic Park in Thummaluru in Ranga Reddy District are being established in Telangana and will offer housing facilities. Some of these are already commissioned and infrastructure work is underway. For others, approvals are still in process.
It was in March last year that the Telangana government had announced setting up industrial parks across the state.
