The 78.6-kilometre Singaperumal Koil- Road has been converted into a 4-lane road, Thamaraipakkam to Periyapalayam (12 km), the stretch from Puduvoyal to Pulicat (6 km), Sriperumbudur to Road (18 km) and another 15 kilometre to Kattupalli. Once completed, the 250-km long, Old Madras Road Expressway will connect Hoskote and Sriperumbudur. This road will cut through Venkatagiri Kota and Palamaner in Andhra Pradesh, Hoskote and Malur in Karnataka, Arakkonam, Gudiyatham and Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu.
