5 Indian Cities Where Investing In Real Estate Will Give Good Returns

Unlike the rest of the world, real estate in Indian cities is thriving so much so that NRIs have taken a keen interest to invest in properties in India. Most of the IT exporting cities in India are attracting investments in real estate, in the form of plots, apartments, villas and condos. Home builders, too, are taking into account the demand from NRIs and foreign investors, and are planning layouts and amenities that suit the needs of such clients.

Here is the list of top five cities where you should consider investing in real estate:Pune

Pune is the second largest city of Maharashtra after Mumbai and is three hours' drive away from the latter. It has all amenities that one would want for a holistic lifestyle. Pune has its own airport and railway station and abundant employment opportunities in the IT hubs of Wakad, Hinjewadi, Kharadi and Hadapsar. Most investors are betting on properties along the Mumbai-Pune Expressway such as Paud Road and Kothrud as prices are low and connectivity to Mumbai from here is easy. If you are looking for low cost investment in property in India, Pune has certain pockets such as Sinhagad, Ravet, Pimpri Chinchwad and Chakan where you can make such investments.

Bangalore

Together with Pune, Bangalore, has one of the fastest growing real estate markets in India. As more of the outskirts are brought within the limits of the city, prices of apartments, villas and plots in Bangalore are rising rapidly, which will provide a good return on your investment. Areas such as Whitefield, KR Puram, Marathahalli, Sarjapur Road and Electronics City provide good rental returns and capital returns on investment as property is demanded here by IT professionals. In these areas, you would find rapidly appreciating property for sale in Bangalore.

Areas of North Bangalore such as Devanahalli and Yelahanka are also gaining traction since the Kempegowda International Airport was made operational. You can find property in Bangalore in these areas for a cheap price. 

Thane

This satellite city of Mumbai enjoys good connectivity to India financial capital via the Western Express Highway and Ghodbunder Road. Some of the areas of Mumbai that are close to it are Mira Road, Borivali and Dahisar. Thane has its own municipal corporation and operates buses under the TMT. It is connected to the western line of Mumbai's suburban railway network. 

Upcoming flats for sale in Thane West are mostly of the 1BHK and 2BHK configurations. They are affordable to salaried professionals who commute to Mumbai every day for work. Resale and upcoming flats for sale in Thane command the same selling price. You can make a neat profit from it if you time your sale right. 

Gurgaon

Gurgaon is one of the posh addresses for highflying denizens of NCR. Ever since the boom in the IT industry, real estate in Gurgaon has flourished. Add to that, proximity to office complexes, the yellow line of the Delhi metro, numerous shopping complexes and other social amenities. Most senior officials of companies prefer to live in Gurgaon in a sprawling penthouses or bungalows as it is considered a status symbol. If money is not an issue for you, then Golf Course Road and Golf Course Extension Road are two micro-markets where you can consider for investment. For more affordable options, Sohna Road would be a good choice.

Navi Mumbai

Navi Mumbai is another satellite city of Mumbai and development began here in 1972 with the initiative of CIDCO. The area enjoys good connectivity to the eastern suburbs of Mumbai such as Chembur, Bhandup, Mulund and Ghatkopar via the Eastern Express Highway. Several infrastructural developments are underway, including the proposed Special Economic Zone, International Airport and Metro railway. The Nhava Sheva Sewri Sea Link make connectivity with south Mumbai smooth. Areas to consider in Navi Mumbai for investment are Kharghar, Airoli and Nerul.
