Pune To Have 3 New Town Planning Schemes In Uruli, Phursungi
To boost economic development in the periphery of the city and decongest the centres, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has approved new town planning schemes for Phursungi and Uruli Devachi, the newly merged villages of Pune municipal areas. The development will take place under the Atal Mission For Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) mission. The new town planning scheme will also open new avenues of investment in these areas as the corporation is also planning to construct the ring road here. Located in south-east part of Pune, the locality has rural set-up with backward infrastructure with little urban feel. There are only a few housing options at present as the connectivity is limited to state-run buses. The locality lies 12-km south from Keshav Nagar, which is one of the newest residential and commercial hub of Pune. Uruli Devachi will witness the spillover demand as the connectivity improves since the price points in Keshav Nagar is already touching sky. Property prices here vary between Rs 800-1,000 per sq ft while in Keshav Nagar the property prices vary between Rs 5,500-6,000 per sq ft. With new town planning scheme in the offing, Uruli Devachi is expected to see a major realty boom and foray of multi-storey apartments as compared to present scenario which is dominated by plotted development.
Phursungi is one of the fastest-developing areas in Pune which is currently witnessing major growth impetus due to cheap land availability.
