In a bid to fast-track the handing over of the possession to home buyers, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority will hand over completion certificates to 21 group housing societies by the middle of next month.

In a crucial step towards the economic empowerment of women in Odisha, the state has slashed the stamp duty for women on property deals by one per cent. Currently, one has to pay five per cent of the total value of land or building as stamp duty.

On the orders of the National Green Tribunal, the Delhi Development Authority has freed the Yamuna Khadar at Nangli Rajapur village, adjacent to Sarai Kale Khan, of encroachments by farmers. As part of its demolition drive, the DDA plans to free 4,806 acres of such land within the next few days.

The Centre is mulling a proposal to evict the Congress Party from its headquarters situated at the 24, Akbar Road, and three other bungalows in the Lutyens' Delhi, besides demanding market rent on these properties since June 2013. Two years after the Urban development ministry had sent a notice to vacate the bungalows on lease since 1976 and allotted another plot in the area, the Directorate of Estates will send a fresh notice again.
