The Centre on July 10 approved the launch of the Gram Sadak Yojana Phase-3, a rural road programme. Phase-3 is aimed at providing better connectivity to villages with hospitals, schools and markets by widening and revamping over 1.25-lakh km of roads in the country. The project is expected to complete in the next five years.

To promote better development across cities, the Maharashtra government on July 10 approved to waive off the stamp duty for owners who transfer their land to development authorities.  According to revenue officials, the waiver is applicable on land reserved for a public amenity and has been marked in the development plan.

National capital’s Central Business District Connaught Place has emerged as among the top 10 most expensive office markets globally. In a report by a leading real estate advisory, CP stands at the ninth position, with annual office occupancy cost estimated at $143.97 (approximately Rs 9,875) per square foot.

With an aim to promote its land pooling policy, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) will soon develop two model sectors in the national capital. These sectors will be developed on land pooled so far.
