The Gurgaon district administration has revised the circle rates and land registration fee for immovable properties which will be applicable from October 19. This is the second time that the administration has revised the circle rates in this fiscal. The circle rates of land up to two acres on expressways will be hiked by 25 per cent, while those falling on major state and district highways will be increased by 10 per cent.

To ensure that the rule forbidding developers from levying external development charge (EDC) on buyers of affordable homes is brought to the public domain, the Gurgaon department of town and country planning (DTCP) has asked higher authorities in Chandigarh to upload a clarification on its official website. According to the ruling, buyers of affordable homes should not be asked to pay EDC beyond the stipulated rate of Rs 4,000 per square foot.

State-run NBCC (India) is likely to start construction work on 11,400 units of stalled Amrapali projects as early as December. NBCC has already initiated the efforts to raise funds to re-start the construction work of the beleaguered realty developer.

All 13 Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) in Delhi have become e-RTOs.  Most of the transport services — from getting a driving licence to transferring a registration certificate — will be available online, and if someone still has to visit the office, online appointments have to be taken first. The move would help curb overcrowding and touts at RTO.
