Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) Chairman Gautam Chatterjee has reiterated that no extension would be given to developers for the registration of ongoing projects beyond July 31. He urged developers to speed up the registration process, which would bring in transparency in the sector.

The Centre has in coordination with states has decided to lower GST rates on 66 goods and services, apart from easing the compliance burden for small businesses as they raced to be ready to launch the Goods and Services Tax from July 1. The 66 items rates of which have been lowered include hybrid cars, sanitary napkins, telephone bills and ships manufactured in the country.

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Authority has decided to spend a major part of its budget for land acquisition, infrastructure and rural development in the budget passed in its 60th board meeting. Unlike its counterparts in Noida and Greater Noida, the Yamuna Expressway Authority has hiked its annual budget from last year's total allocation of Rs 4028.86 crore to Rs 4,156.13 crore, up by Rs 128 crore.

The Ajmer Smart City Limited has issued a letter of termination to its smart city consultant Eptisa. It was observed that the company has not been following the terms and conditions of the contract and was delaying the project. The ASCL had signed a memorandum of understanding with Spain-based Eptisa in December last year.
