#RealtyNewsRoundUp: Modi To Inaugurate KMP Expressway On Nov 19

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway and the Metro link between Ballabhgarh and Mujesar on November 19. The 135-km-long expressway will offer signal-free connectivity, allowing seamless movement of traffic between different northern states, such as Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir.

The Supreme Court-appointed Environment Pollution (Prevention & Control) Authority has eased construction ban in the national capital region. However, the authority has allowed construction activities only from 6 am to 6 pm due to poor dispersion of pollutants at night.

The Maharashtra government has published the draft of its green building policy that ensures incentives for buyers and developers to invest in such buildings. The buyers of property in green building will be entitled to a property tax rebate for a period of five years. The policy would be applicable to all upcoming commercial as well as residential buildings.

Meanwhile, the Karnataka government has also proposed to provide an array of incentives, including reduction in property tax and stamp duty, to encourage builders and homebuyers to opt for eco-friendly buildings.
