The Noida Authority has announced a residential plot scheme, registration of which has started on June 17. Under the scheme, 218 residential plots, located in sectors 31, 39, 44, 47, 49, 51, 52, 99, 100, 122 and 93B, will be sold through e-bidding process. The plots available under the scheme are spread in an area ranging between 100-500 square metre (sqm) and will be sold in the price range of Rs 55,000 per sqm to Rs 1 lakh per sqm.

The Maharashtra government has announced a 90 per cent waiver on stamp duty penalties till August. The move is aimed at encouraging defaulting homeowners to clear their dues. Nearly Rs 5,000 crore worth of duty is yet to be paid in Maharashtra of which Rs 500 crore is in Mumbai. Stamp duty in Maharashtra is charged at five per cent while an additional surcharge of one per cent has to be paid by homebuyers who invest in Mumbai.

Mumbaikars can now raise civic complaints to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation on the newly launched disaster management cell’s Twitter handle, @DisasterMgmtBMC. The move is aimed at disseminating information and redressing various complaints, mainly regarding open manholes and water contamination as monsoon hits the city.

The East Delhi Municipal Corporation has announced an exemption to homeowners from enhanced property tax and rebate on prompt payment till July 31 as it implements the 3rd Municipal Valuation Committee (MVC) report. According to the provisions suggested in the report, commercial and non-residential properties of 139.35 sqm or more (A Category) are granted exemption equivalent to pre-existing MVC-I.
