The Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India has said that the waste-to-energy project in Sector 123 should still be reconsidered as it adversely affects the residential hubs of an expanding city.  Apart from a series of apartments in Sector 122, which directly face the garbage dump at the fork of Gaur Chowk, it is also in the vicinity of a series of Noida Extension flats.

The government is likely to launch a Rs 500-crore credit enhancement fund next month to facilitate infrastructure investments by insurance and pension funds. The fund was first announced in the Budget for 2016-17.

Upping its ante against use of plastic, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has decided to impose a fine of up to Rs 10,000 from June 23 on those who are found to use plastic bags. While you may have to pay a fine of up To Rs 5,000 for your first offence, a repeat of the offence would cost you twice the amount in penalty.

The Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) has in the past two months issued recovery warrants against as many as 11 developers who failed to comply with its orders to refund homebuyers under Section 40(1) of Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016.
