The government has rolled back decided its decision to remove the last page from passport, a move that would have made the use of this document as address proof invalid. After comprehensive discussions with the various stakeholders, the Ministry of External Affairs has decided to continue with the current practice of printing of the last page of the passport, where the address of the passport holder is mentioned.

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is likely to provide relief to local shopping centres, which were earlier known as shop-cum-residential areas, by increasing the floor area ratio from 180 to 300. This means they will get more ground coverage and floors — from the earlier three storeys to four. According to media reports, the Centre is also reportedly discussing whether to invoke 'larger public interest' to reduce conversion charges to help traders at the risk of sealing.

Meanwhile, over 60 properties were sealed on January 30 in north and south Delhi for alleged violation of civic norms.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has inaugurated the new online plot and property management system of the Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) at Panchkula. The CM also handed over documents of online purchase of plots, transfer permission and mortgage permission to three individuals on the spot. He said the new system was enabled with various user-friendly features, wherein an allottee could avail of different services provided by the estates offices online.

The income-tax department has provisionally attached actor Shah Rukh Khan's farmhouse in Alibag, a beach town in Maharashtra. The attachment notice was issued to Déjà Vu Farms under the Prohibition of Benami Property Transactions (PBPT) Act in December. The farmhouse is spread over 19,960 square metre, and has amenities such as a swimming pool and a private helipad.
