Following Bhartiya Janta Party's impressive showing in the Mumbai civic elections chief minister Devendra Fadnavis sanctioned 12 projects worth a whopping Rs 833 crore for tier-II municipal corporations and cities. The projects that were approved will be a part of the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme, in which the Centre is also pooling in funds.

Global taxi-hailing platform Uber said it has partnered with Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) across 12 metro stations to provide last mile connectivity to everyday commuters. Consumers can avail the service through exclusive Uber booking counters at metro stations, Uber said in a statement.

An NGT-appointed high-powered committee has indicted the developer of Sushant Lok 3 for illegally selling areas reserved for green belt. The panel has submitted its report to the green court after the latter sought the same in the wake of a plea by a 70-year-old resident.

The Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) started e-auction of commercial properties. The board has put as many as 127 commercial properties under hammer. These properties comprise booths, convenience shops, and restaurant and bay shops in Manimajra, Sector 38 (West), sectors 40, 51 and 61.
