The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulator Authority (UP-RERA) has asked the Lucknow Development Authority to start registering big residential projects in and around the state capital. The authority has received over 1,000 complaints against projects and promoters mainly from Lucknow and adjoining Barabanki district.

The creditors of insolvency-hit Jaypee Infratech have decided to vote on the revised offer submitted by state-run National Buildings Construction Company. The voting is expected to take place on May 16-19 while the results would be declared on May 20.

The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) has directed debt-laden Unitech to refund over Rs 1.70 crore to a homebuyer in three months for a delay of over two years in handing over the possession of the apartment. The developer has also been asked to compensate the homebuyer the simple interest at 10 per cent per annum.

The National Green Tribunal on May 14 directed 18 states and two Union Territories to submit within three months an action plan on the utilisation of treated wastewater. So far, only nine states and five UTs have submitted the action plan with Central Pollution Control Board.
