#RealtyNewsRoundUp: UP-RERA To Take Action Against Unregistered Projects
The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP-RERA) will be directing district collectors to take action against the developers of ongoing real estate projects in rural areas, who have not registered their projects at the RERA website. The Greater Noida Bench of the UP-RERA will in fact hold two special hearings every week to address the complaints of buyers against unregistered real estate projects.

To control the unregulated property dealers’ functioning, the Rajasthan Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Rajasthan RERA) has sent a proposal to the state government, seeking permission to make RERA registration mandatory. The authority will take legal action against property dealers who operate without registration.

With water stocks in seven reservoirs 15 per cent less than the previous year, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will implement 10 per cent cut in water supply from November 15 till further review. The water cut will be applicable for all entities like residential, commercial or other establishments.

An internal audit by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has revealed that 1,624 properties in the residential quarters in Yelahanka sub-division, belonging to different government agencies, have not paid property tax in the past 10 years. The residential quarters under the scanner belong to the income tax department, the Central Bureau of Investigation, the railways, the Central Excise Department, the All India Radio, the Deputy Commissioner of Police and the Karnataka Housing Board.
