Located in the Mose valley, close to the Western Ghats in Pune, Lavasa is the first planned hill city of India and one of the top 25 planned hill cities of the world. The town is being developed by Corporation, a part of Hindustan Construction Company stylistically based on Portofino (an Italian town).Lavasa has been recognized with several awards for its plan and design including one by the American Society of Landscape Architects and a merit award for the Dasve village.
