The Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) has said that the sectoral law does not give it the authority to decide property prices. Matters relating to pricing must be settled between the buyer and the builder while drafting sale agreements.
The authority has also ruled that buyers of completed projects can also approach it in case of a dispute with the developer.

The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) is planning to launch a scheme that will enable developers to settle their unpaid land dues. The nitty-gritty of the scheme has yet to be worked out. About 104 developers together owe the authority Rs 7,000 crore.

Forty farmers from Ranhera and Pirohi villages who had given their land for the construction of the international airport in Greater Noida’s Jewar were awarded compensation on April 22. The compensation includes land price and rehabilitation and resettlement benefits.

Salaries in the United Kingdom are growing faster than the property values, shows a report released by bank and mortgage provider Halifax. Earlier, homeowners made more money from the annual increase in the value of their property when compared to their take-home salaries, the report indicates. In 2018, less than eight per cent of the districts in the country saw property values increasing more than take-home salaries of the residents as against 18 per cent and 31 per cent in 2017 and 2016, respectively.
