The Economic Survey-II has unveiled that only one-fifth of the total Smart City projects are likely to be completed by 2018-end. Of the many, only 57 projects worth Rs 941 crore have been completed so far, and another 462 projects worth Rs 15,307 crore are expected to be completed during 2018 only if the set timelines are followed.

In a move to hasten up completion process, the Uttar Pradesh government has directed for an audit of all the ongoing housing projects in Noida and Greater Noida. Chief executive officers of Noida and Greater Noida authorities will also meet developers who are coming up with projects in the two cities to make sure upcoming projects are finished on time, too.

The Bombay High Court has ordered for the auction of Sahara Group Chief Subroto Roy's Aamby Valley property at Lonavala in Maharashtra. The property will be auctioned for a reserve price of Rs 37,392 crore. The aim of the auction is to recover the pending dues to various lenders.

Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced that the National Highways Authority of India will begin work on the remaining eight-km long stretch of the 28-km long Dwarka Expressway in next three months. Of the total, the 18.1-km stretch is in Gurgaon while the remaining is in Delhi.
