The West Bengal government plans to launch a housing scheme for those households that earning less than Rs 30,000 every month. Named as Nijoshree Scheme, two categories of homes will be constructed – 1BHK (378 sqft carpet area) and 2BHK (559 sqft carpet area) . While those with monthly income less than Rs 15,000 will be eligible for 1BHK apartments, the ones with monthly income ranging between Rs 15,000 and Rs 30,000 could avail of 2BHK apartments. The 1BHK apartments will be priced at Rs 7.28 lakh and the 2BHK apartments could be purchased for a price of Rs 9.26 lakh. With 50,000 units initially, the government plans to complete the project within two to three years.

According to an official release, the Andhra Pradesh government has inked a concession agreement with SCL-Turbo consortium to develop a no-frills airport at Dagardarthi in Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore District. The project will be completed in a public-private partnership mode.

The airport will be spread in an area of 1,352 acres and will be constructed at a cost of Rs 368 crore. Once completed, the airport will have a capacity of handling over 1.9 million passengers and 55,000 tonnes of cargo every year.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has announced that the land acquisition process for the Jewar Airport is likely to be completed in next two months. Once the process is completed, the Uttar Pradesh government will invite bids for public-private partnership in October and the foundation stone will be laid in December. The state government plans to spend a total of Rs 4,000 crore on land acquisition.

Now get ready to register land online in Punjab. To ease the registration process for people, the Punjab government has launched the National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) which will provide online land registration facility at all sub-registrar offices. One could visit the site, www.igrpunjab.gov, and book appointment online for the registration.
